A Practitioners Guide to Visual Tree Assessment

Using the Thor HammerOver the past four years, we have hosted the successful 'Practitioners Guide to Visual Tree Assessment' workshop in the UK, Eire, Australia and New Zealand.  VTA Workshops have been scheduled for Spring 2010 in Australia and the UK and further workshops can be scheduled in response to enquiries.

The workshop centres on the concept that to understand tree stability and the effects of defects and decay, we must have an understanding of how decay and defects follow growth patterns. The workshop takes you through the process of visual tree assessment, assessing tree stability and decay mapping using the Thor 710 Nylon Hammer and visual signs and symptoms. A significant part of the workshop involves fieldwork where we look at the practical interpretation of growth patterns  and visual and audible signs of decay.  Following the workshop, we make a copy of our slide presentation available for download.

Visit our Training Calendar and check out our scheduled workshops.  To book onto this workshop, it is necessary to first Register interest and then proceed to the 'Bookings' page.
